𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:
Pioneer Metal is looking for a Sales Engineer with experience in the Cable Tray / Metal Fabrication industry to support the sales team by providing technical expertise, preparing quotations, and ensuring customer specifications are properly addressed.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of cable tray systems, steel fabrication, load calculations, and product applications to support project proposals and customer requirements.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
Technical & Quotation Support
- Review customer inquiries, drawings, and technical specifications related to cable tray systems and metal products.
- Prepare accurate quotations in coordination with the Sales Team and Operations Manager.
- Perform load and deflection calculations for cable tray systems to ensure proper product specification.
- Ensure all quotations meet customer technical requirements and project specifications.
- Provide technical support regarding cable tray products, steel structures, and related accessories.
Pre-Sales Engineering Support
- Assist the Sales Team in explaining technical specifications and product capabilities to clients.
- Participate in technical meetings, presentations, and discussions with customers.
- Prepare technical drawings, product layouts, and documentation when required.
- Coordinate with the Production Team to prepare drawings for project submissions.
Customer & Project Coordination
- Liaise with customers to clarify technical requirements and project specifications.
- Provide updates regarding quotation status, product specifications, and order details.
- Coordinate with factory and production teams to ensure customer requirements are properly implemented.
- Review orders and drawings to ensure technical accuracy before production.
Documentation & Records
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, technical documents, drawings, and project details.
- Ensure documentation complies with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Keep proper records of projects, contracts, and customer communication.
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties assigned by Division Management.
- Support team members when required to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist with project coordination when necessary.
Skills
𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- Diploma holders with strong relevant experience may be considered
𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭)
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in the Cable Tray / Metal Fabrication / Steel Products industry
- Strong understanding of cable tray systems, metal products, and structural applications
- Experience preparing technical quotations for cable tray projects is highly preferred
𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬
- Ability to read and prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Strong knowledge of cable tray systems, metal products, and related accessories
- Good understanding of load calculations and structural considerations
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced sales and project environment
