About the Job:

Monitor and supervise day-to-day commercial operations of owned and chartered tonnage for the Commercial Department. Ensuring that the vessels and cargo are operated safely to all applicable regulations and standards and in line with budgets set by the chartering teams.




Job Specific Accountabilities

• Manage all day-to-day operations activities relating to charter in / out of vessels / cargoes under the authority of the Operations Manager, and where necessary providing administrative and technical support to other team members.
• Ensure compliance of all vessels with ADNOC procedures, International Regulations and Flag State Laws.



Generic Accountabilities
Monitoring and Planning Voyages
• Plan and manage voyages including loading, sea passage, vessel performance, ship/hold condition, cargo intakes, and vessel and crew operational performance standards.
• Coordinate with Marine department for inspection and screening of the ADNOC L&S LNG vessels by 3rd party agencies, SIRE inspection and other surveys.
• Plan and manage port calls / negotiate competitive DA accounts / liaise with agents / master / customers / brokers to ensure all port calls are efficient, safe and effective ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Ensure cargo handling at load and disports is performed in accordance with approved safe and operational efficiency standards.
• Monitor performance at sea and where necessary formulate speed and consumption claims
• Approve relevant documentations in order to meet requirements of ADNOC standards and requirements.
• Prepare, analyse and present reports as required in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide technical and administrative assistance during negotiation phase to achieve terms and conditions commercially favourable to ADNOC.


Budgets
• Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances in costs / revenue to support effective performance and cost control.




Minimum Requirements:

• Master of Foreign Sea going vessels with CLASS-1 certificate of competency.
• In command of foreign going Gas Tankers-LNG/LPG for minimum 24 months.
• Sailing experience on LNG and LPG tankers.
• Total sea time in senior rank not less than 36 months.
• 3 years of experience in Shipping Industry including LNG/LPG vessels voyage & chartering activities in shore based capacity.




Professional Certifications

• Gas Tanker endorsement is asset.
• Managements, Leadership, Teamwork, and Communications, Problem Solving & Effective Decision Makers courses /certifications are asset.
