Job description

  • Develop Structural Outfitting drawings, 3D Model and MTO with minimum assistance of Senior / Lead Engineer.
  • Provide input for Material purchase requisitions, allocations, and reconciliations of materials.
  • Review for overall completeness, general safety, access and progress, materials handling, maintenance, and operability etc.
  • Plan, schedule and monitor activities and deliverables.
  • Gather and review applicable codes, standards, and Supplier requirements to define installation requirements, and communicate requirements to the design team.
  • Ensure schedule and budget compliances for activities and deliverables.
  • Ensure interdisciplinary and management review, check, and approval of design deliverables.
  • Perform inter-disciplinary checks and 3D model reviews.
  • Review and comment on Supplier drawings.
  • Perform site surveys, as necessary.
  • Involve in Bid Engineering i.e., bid estimation for man hours and materials.
  • Establish company standards and review & update discipline design guidelines and standards.
  • Assist the lead engineer in performance assessment of designers & establish training needs.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures

Skills

  • At least 3-6 years in any engineering company if bachelor’s in engineering or Diploma in Engineering with 11 - 13 years of experience. Preference will be given for those had worked in ship and rig building yard, major construction yard, EPC contractor, and/or Consultant Company using AVEVA 3D modelling software.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering Discipline, preferably Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Preferred – Any additional certification / training on CAD tools and systems.
  • Knowledge/Experience in preparation of Structural outfitting 2D drawings using AutoCAD and/or 3D modeling of Structural outfitting using AVEVA E3D Design or AVEVA Marine Outfitting
  • Knowledge/Experience in TEKLA Structures or BOCAD or E3D Structural Design will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge/Experience in plate / profile nesting and CNC program, preferable.
  • Conversant with International Codes and Standards, Marine regulations, and Classification rules.
  • Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and ability to operate within a multinational environment.
  • Knowledge/Experience in fabrication / construction / installation engineering of various structures.
