Position Summary:
The Cost Control Section Head is responsible for leading and overseeing all cost control and financial management activities across large-scale construction projects. The role develops and implements cost control strategies, systems, and procedures to ensure effective budget management, financial accuracy, and alignment with project objectives.
The position monitors project expenditures, prepares financial reports and cash flow forecasts, conducts variance analysis, and identifies cost-saving opportunities to enhance overall project profitability. It coordinates closely with project managers and department heads to track costs, reviews financial transactions for compliance, and supports the evaluation of claims and variations. The role also ensures the integrity of financial reporting systems, conducts audits, mentors cost control staff, and promotes continuous improvement in cost engineering practices. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in cost management for major projects, with strong expertise in estimating, financial analysis, project cash flow forecasting, and a comprehensive understanding of engineering and construction processes.
