General Requirements
Support SCADA, PLC, RTU, control system, and automation for water facilities (treatment plants, pumping stations RPS, DMA, networks).
Scope includes operation, troubleshooting, integration, documentation, and cybersecurity compliance of control system systems.
Vast knowledge of international standards (ISA, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, etc.) and local regulations.
Interview: Must pass an authorization interview and qualify as an Authorized person.
Work schedule: [e.g., 8 hrs/day, 5 days a week, with emergency call-out support].
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic, Instrumentation and Control or Automation Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience: More than 7 years of relevant experience in Water utilities, EPC contractor or Automation companies.
Hand-on experience with PLC/RTU programming (Siemens, Schneider, ABB …etc.).
Experience in SCADA configuration (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Yokogawa, EcoStruxure, GE iFIX …etc.).
Knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, DNP3, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP).
Experience with field instrumentation (flow, pressure, level, water quality analyzers).
Familiarity with cybersecurity practices for critical infrastructure.
Experience in commissioning, FAT/SAT, and O&M support.
Soft Skills: Strong communication & reporting skills (English required; Arabic is a plus).
Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, Project management, Problem-solving & analytical mindset.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
Coordination with contractors, consultants, and Kahramaa departments for all commissioning activities.
Conducts commissioning and testing activities for the Water Control System.
Operation and maintenance of SCADA/PLC/RTU/DMA systems.
Troubleshooting and fault rectification of SCADA and automation systems.
Integration of new equipment and software upgrades.
Preparing & reviewing technical documentation, as-built drawings, P&ID, control logic, SCADA architecture and reports.
Ensuring compliance with Kahramaa HSE and cybersecurity policies
Performs other related duties as required by the immediate supervisor.
Provide support to Kahramaa personnel in the design, development, implementation, and commissioning of water control automation systems and applications.
Should be able to travel extensively within the state of Qatar.
Should have valid Qatar driving license.
