SCADA (Electrical) Engineer
General Requirements:
Strong knowledge of power system operations (generation, transmission, distribution) and integration of substations with SCADA.
Familiarity with SCADA concepts, databases and protocols (ICCP, IEC).
Proficiency in English (spoken & written); Arabic is an advantage.
Awareness of OT/ICS cybersecurity practices for electrical infrastructure with solid understanding of international standards (ISA, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, etc.) and local regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical / computer / Electronic Engineering .
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in SCADA system for electrical utilities.
Hand-on experience with GE SCADA system including Historian, Database, communication protocols.
Core Responsibilities:
Operation & Maintenance of SCADA system at National/ Distribution control centers.
Configure, update and manage SCADA databases, displays, alarms and trends.
Perform integration and commissioning (End to End test) of new substations into SCADA system.
Ensure SCADA system availability and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA incidents
Participate in system upgrades, patching and disaster recovery testing.
Work schedule: 8 hrs./day, 5 days a week, with emergency call-out support.
SCADA (Elect.) Technician
General Requirements:
Basic knowledge of SCADA systems and power system operations (generation, transmission, distribution).
Familiarity with GE SCADA system is an advantage.
Understanding of common communication protocols.
Awareness of cybersecurity practices OT/ICS environments.
Proficiency in English (spoken & written); Arabic is an advantage.
Experience in hardware troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
Technical Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic / Computer .
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in SCADA system for electrical utilities.
Core Responsibilities:
Investigate reported faults and breakdowns in equipment, instruments, and facilities.
Conducts preventive & corrective maintenance.
Perform routine checks, backups & restoration and Preventive Maintenance in NCC/ DCC System.
Supervises the identification of faults in equipment, instruments, and facilities
Maintains accurate record of equipment condition and related history
Assist the supervisor in preparation of all data and reports for condition monitoring.
Provide technical support to control room operators.
Maintain compliance with cybersecurity and safety guidelines.
Document incidents, changes and system updates.
Work schedule: 8 hrs./day, 5 days a week, with emergency call-out support.
