Job description

SCADA (Electrical) Engineer

General Requirements:

􀁸 Strong knowledge of power system operations (generation, transmission, distribution) and integration of substations with SCADA.

􀁸 Familiarity with SCADA concepts, databases and protocols (ICCP, IEC).

􀁸 Proficiency in English (spoken & written); Arabic is an advantage.

􀁸 Awareness of OT/ICS cybersecurity practices for electrical infrastructure with solid understanding of international standards (ISA, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, etc.) and local regulations.


Qualifications:

􀁸 Bachelor’s degree in electrical / computer / Electronic Engineering .

􀁸 Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in SCADA system for electrical utilities.

􀁸 Hand-on experience with GE SCADA system including Historian, Database, communication protocols.


Core Responsibilities:

􀁸 Operation & Maintenance of SCADA system at National/ Distribution control centers.

􀁸 Configure, update and manage SCADA databases, displays, alarms and trends.

􀁸 Perform integration and commissioning (End to End test) of new substations into SCADA system.

􀁸 Ensure SCADA system availability and reliability.

􀁸 Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA incidents

􀁸 Participate in system upgrades, patching and disaster recovery testing.

􀁸 Work schedule: 8 hrs./day, 5 days a week, with emergency call-out support.
