Job description

  • Develop electrical designs and layouts for furniture pieces requiring integrated lighting or power systems.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize shop drawings, wiring diagrams, SLDs, load calculations, and as‑built drawings.
  • Review and submit technical submittals for luminaires, drivers, control systems, wiring, and accessories; ensure compliance with QCS, IEC, BS, IES, and CIBSE standards.
  • Recommend suitable lighting fixtures, LED drivers, wiring types, power supplies, and electrical accessories for furniture applications.
  • Ensure all electrical components meet the required quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide AutoCAD-based lighting layouts, detail drawings, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with interior designers, furniture engineers, procurement teams, and production departments to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Provide technical support throughout manufacturing and installation stages.
  • Conduct site visits to verify installation quality, wiring safety, and compliance with approved shop drawings.
  • Communicate technical requirements to subcontractors, technicians, and installers.
  • Prepare BOQs, material lists, certificates, and maintain all electrical records.
  • Ensure project adherence to local authority regulations and international best practices.
  • Provide analytical reports, identify issues, propose solutions, and support workload planning and forecasting.
  • Evaluate materials and suppliers, support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining safety and quality.


Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Ability to prepare and review shop drawings and as-built drawings.
  • Experience in technical submittals and material approvals for luminaires, poles, and control systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for preparation and review of lighting layouts, single-line diagrams, and load schedules.
  • Familiarity with local (QCS) and international standards (IEC, BS, IES, CIBSE).
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and project coordination skills.
