Sr Lead Petrophysicist

Job Purpose:

To lead and drive petrophysics function across the business vertical by leading well data acquisition, processing to complex formation evaluation programmes, assuring petrophysical inputs, for reservoir modelling and field development, driving technical standards and providing high-level advisory to projects and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and provide technical review of multi-well petrophysical studies, formation evaluation campaigns and complex reservoir property estimations.
• Specify and approve logging programmes and data acquisition strategies for exploration, appraisal and development wells. Provide senior-level real-time advisory during operations.
• Drive integration of petrophysical outputs with geological, geophysical and reservoir models ensuring defensible property distributions for simulation and reserves assessment.
• Lead technical quality assurance of petrophysical deliverables from in-house teams and external service providers.
• Involve /Interact with logging service partner in regular interval for improvement of data quality, safety and technology upgradation.
• Adequate knowledge and experience of log data acquisition and well testing in onshore and offshore environment.
• Mentor and provide technical oversight to petrophysical practitioners and coordinate cross-discipline technical reviews.
• Provide expert inputs for technical bids, vendor scopes, audit responses and regulatory support where required.
• Track and implement advanced petrophysical methods (e.g., advanced rock physics, saturation modelling, unconventional workflows) to improve reservoir understanding.
• Prepare and present high-level technical summaries and risk-based recommendations to senior management.
