Job description

Main Purpose:

Deliver power plant integration and downstream power projects that convert fuel supply into reliable electricity output by owning project engineering detailed design commissioning and performance acceptance in line with contractual and grid requirements.


Job Accountabilities:

  • Lead engineering design reviews for power generation packages including balance of plant electrical auxiliaries control systems and grid interconnection.
  • Own technical specifications for gensets turbines engines heat recovery systems and integrate with fuel supply and treatment systems.
  • Coordinate with grid operators utilities and power buyers to ensure compliance with interconnection standards metering and dispatch obligations.
  • Manage EPC vendor selection technical bid evaluation and technical clarifications during contract execution.
  • Oversee commissioning performance testing reliability runs and final acceptance testing to guarantee performance guarantees are met.
  • Drive optimisation initiatives on plant efficiency load dispatch and auxiliary power consumption during early operations.
  • Provide inputs for O&M strategy spare parts criticality and lifecycle cost considerations.


Skills

  • Knowledge of grid codes protective relaying SCADA and power plant performance testing.
  • Strong project engineering vendor management and commissioning experience.
  • Proven ability to work with utilities regulators and power purchasers.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Power Systems Engineering; postgraduate preferred.


Experience:

  • 12-18 years of experience in power plant engineering project execution or commissioning preferably with combined cycle thermal or gas engine plants.
