Job description

Main Purpose:

Deliver downstream FT fuels projects by translating syngas conversion outputs into functional FT synthesis trains product upgrading and refining interfaces that meet product specifications and commercial offtake needs.


Job Accountabilities:

  • Lead detailed engineering for FT reactor product separation hydro processing and product upgrading units ensuring catalyst handling utilities and material compatibility are addressed.
  • Define product quality specifications blending requirements and downstream storage and logistics interfaces for liquid fuels and wax streams.
  • Manage vendor evaluation for FT reactors catalysts and critical downstream equipment and lead commissioning and performance acceptance testing.
  • Work with process research and technology teams to de-risk scale up and translate pilot performance into commercial design assumptions.
  • Support HSE and environmental teams on emissions effluent and waste handling requirements unique to FT and hydro processing units.
  • Provide technical input to commercial teams on product yields economics and margin optimisation for fuel products and co-products.
  • Ensure operability maintainability and safety considerations are embedded in design through operability reviews and HAZOP follow ups.


Skills

  • Familiarity with catalyst handling reactor design product upgrading and refining interfaces.
  • Strong process design FGD emissions and effluent management experience and ability to support techno-economic assessments.
  • Experience working with technology licensors pilot plants and scaling to commercial plants.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Petroleum Engineering.


Experience:

  • 12-18 years of experience in fuels synthesis refinery hydro-processing or FT/GTL projects or deep experience in process scale-up EPC and commissioning.
