Role Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Accountant to support the finance function by working closely with the Senior Accountant and Bookkeeper. This role is hands-on and operational, requiring ownership of day-to-day accounting activities, accurate financial reporting, and system discipline across accounting platforms (e.g., Odoo, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).


This is not a passive reporting role — you are expected to understand the numbers, spot issues early, and maintain clean, audit-ready records at all times.



Key Responsibilities



Day-to-Day Accounting Operations


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across all transactions
  • Record, classify, and reconcile daily financial activity (sales, expenses, bank movements)
  • Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations regularly
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments
  • Process invoices, expense claims, and payment runs



Financial Control & Reporting


  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Support the Senior Accountant in closing monthly and yearly accounts
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and resolve issues proactively
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies



ERP / Systems Management


  • Operate and maintain accounting data within ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
  • Ensure accurate data entry and system integrity across all modules
  • Support system improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements
  • Work with internal teams to ensure correct financial data flow into the system



Compliance & Audit Support


  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and company policies
  • Assist with VAT filings, corporate tax documentation, and regulatory reporting
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits



Collaboration & Process Improvement


  • Work closely with the Senior Accountant and Bookkeeper to streamline workflows
  • Coordinate with operations, procurement, and sales teams to ensure financial accuracy
  • Continuously identify inefficiencies and propose improvements




Experience


  • 2–5 years of accounting experience in a structured environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-entity or trading business is a strong advantage

  • High level of accuracy and accountability
  • Able to work independently while coordinating with a broader finance team
