This role is suited for ahigh‑performingSales Engineer who is building depth across security, data protection, and cloud technologies while expanding their ability to independently support complex customer engagements.Asa Sr Sales Engineer, you will partner closely with Account Executives to drive new customer opportunities and expansions by delivering tailored technical solutions. You will support opportunity executionend‑to‑end, engage a wide range of technical and business stakeholders, and develop credibility as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners.
This role emphasizes strong technical execution, collaboration, and growing ownership ofaccount‑leveltechnical strategy, with guidance and support from leadership.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
Drive new customer and expansion opportunities byarticulating Cohesity’s Data Cloud portfolio—backup, recovery, cyber resilience, and data securitymanagement capabilities to business and technical audiences.
Provide expert, tailored technical support throughout the sales cycle, including discovery, solution design, demos, and proofs of concept.
Support technical strategy for enterprise opportunities in partnership with the Account Executive, contributing to deal progression and win strategy.
Enable customers to integrate Cohesity products into existing production environments, responding to technical requests ina timelyand professional manner.
Lead and support technical engagements such as product demonstrations, workshops, white papers, proposals, and evaluations.
Identifycustomer requirements and risk areas, helping shape proofs of concept that highlight Cohesity’s value in cyber resilience and data security.
Assistwith competitive displacement conversations by understanding customer environments and positioning Cohesity effectively.
Collaboratecross‑functionallywith Product Management, Engineering, and Support to relay customer feedback and contribute to product improvements.
Providepost‑salestechnicalassistanceor project support when needed to ensure successful outcomes and customer satisfaction.
WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
Proven experience inpre‑salesSales Engineering or Solutions Consulting supporting infrastructure, data protection, security, or cloud platforms in enterprise environments.
Hands‑onexperience with backup, recovery, data protection, storage, or cyber resilience technologies acrosson‑prem, hybrid, and cloud architectures.
Working knowledge of data security concepts, including ransomware resilience, immutable storage, encryption, and access controls.
Familiarity with competitive technologies and an interest in developing competitive positioning skills.
Experience supporting proofs of concept, evaluations, and technical decision processes.
Ability to translate technical architecture into clear customer value and business outcomes.
Experience partnering with Account Executives to support complex,multi‑stakeholdersales cycles.
Demonstrated ability toleverageAI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making
Understanding ofenterprise buying processes and deal dynamics.
Strong communicationand presentation skills, able to clearly convey technical concepts to business and technical audiences.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to manage complex customer situations professionally and confidently.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
Industry certifications in cloud, data, or adjacent technologies are a plus.
Must have English languageproficiency(able to interact fluently when speaking, reading, and writing in a professional setting).
Willingness to travel asrequired.
