The Storekeeper is responsible for the efficient management and control of all physical inventory. This role ensures that materials ranging from raw supplies to finished goods are accurately received, stored systematically, and issued promptly to maintain uninterrupted business operations. The ideal candidate possesses high precision, physical stamina, and a strong command of modern inventory software.


2. Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels by monitoring usage rates and determining re-order points. Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical audits to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Receiving & Inspection: Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery notes, checking for quality, quantity, and potential damage.
  • Storage & Organization: systematically arrange goods using FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles to prevent spoilage or obsolescence.
  • Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare materials for internal departments or external dispatch based on approved requisitions.
  • Digital Record Keeping: Update Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), stock ledgers, and inventory systems in real-time using ERP software (e.g., SAP and AX).
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health and safety protocols within the storehouse, ensuring all equipment is maintained and the workspace is hazard-free.
