Job description

The MEP Procurement / Tender Engineer plays a crucial role in the construction industry, focusing on the procurement of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. This position involves managing the tendering process, ensuring that all procurement activities align with project specifications and budgets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of MEP systems, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the entire tendering process for MEP systems, including preparation, submission, and evaluation of bids.
  2. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
  3. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and subcontractors for MEP systems.
  4. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
  5. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to procurement activities.
  6. Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  7. Assist in the development of project budgets and forecasts related to MEP procurement.
  8. Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  9. Participate in project meetings to provide updates on procurement status and challenges.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in MEP technologies.
