About the job Tax Executive / Tax Officer Job Summary:

The Tax Executive will be responsible for preparing and filing Sales Tax and Withholding Tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. The role involves maintaining accurate tax records, handling tax audits and notices, and supporting the finance team in month-end and year-end tax matters.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file Sales Tax and Withholding Tax returns accurately and within statutory deadlines.


  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, rules, and regulations.


  • Maintain proper tax records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.


  • Handle tax notices, assessments, and audits, and coordinate with tax authorities as required.


  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to tax matters.


  • Support the finance team with tax-related queries and reporting.


  • Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation.


  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.


  • CA (Inter) / ACCA (part-qualified) will be preferred.


Experience & Skills:
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in taxation, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.


  • Strong knowledge of Sales Tax and Withholding Tax regulations.


  • Experience in dealing with tax authorities and audits.


  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software / ERP systems.


  • Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.


  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
