As a Software Development Manager for Storage, you will design, develop, test, and deliver offerings using the latest technologies, aligning with IBM's Storage strategy and market performance. You will lead teams to simplify complex goals, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to meet business objectives. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Lead Team Collaboration: Lead or participate in organization planning, providing leadership and support to ensure that business objectives are met, and foster teamwork and inclusion across organizations, cultures, and geographies. * Deliver Business Results: Accept accountability for business results, including meeting client satisfaction, productivity, financial, and other business measurements, and recognize contributions by employees and teams. * Develop Employee Skills: Advise and coach employees to help them develop their skills and capabilities to best meet their career desires and current or future business needs. * Drive Innovation: Support change, encourage employees to innovate, advocate for development, evaluate suggestions, and remove obstacles to implementation. * Manage Performance: Establish clear performance expectations, provide employees feedback to improve performance, and hold people accountable for results.
* Storage Technology Expertise: Experience with designing, developing, testing, and delivering storage solutions using the latest technologies, aligning with business strategy and market performance.
* Team Leadership Experience: Experience in leading teams to simplify complex goals, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to meet business objectives, ensuring accountability for business results.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience with participating in organization planning, fostering teamwork and inclusion across organizations, cultures, and geographies, and promoting diversity and inclusive leadership.
* Performance Management: Experience in establishing clear performance expectations, providing feedback to improve performance, and holding people accountable for results.
* Business Operations Knowledge: Experience with executing processes for the normal operation of employee programs, analyzing and interpreting new situations, and resolving complex problems independently or through the management of others.
* Storage Solution Development: Experience with designing, developing, and delivering Kubernetes based storage solutions using the latest technologies, with a focus on aligning with business strategy and market performance.
Knowledge on Kubernetes and working experience on Opensource projects would be expected.
* Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience in leading cross-functional teams to drive business results, including participating in organization planning and fostering teamwork and inclusion across organizations, cultures, and geographies.
* Business Operations Analysis: Experience with analyzing and interpreting new situations, resolving complex problems independently or through the management of others, and executing processes for the normal operation of employee programs.
