الوصف الوظيفي

  • Perform nonlinear and linear FEA on valve bodies, bonnets, seals, seats, and pressure-retaining parts using tools such as ANSYS / SolidWorks Simulation.
  • Interpret and apply ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 G 2, API 6A, API 6D, and related industry standards for pressure equipment design and analysis.
  • Conduct stress, fatigue, and thermal analysis to evaluate product performance under various loading conditions including internal pressure, thermal gradients, mechanical loads, and transient scenarios.
  • Validate valve designs using FEA simulation in support of RCD and customer qualification programs.
  • Create and document detailed FEA reports including boundary conditions, meshing strategy, material models, and interpretation of results.
  • Work closely with design engineers to improve product performance, reduce weight, and ensure code compliance.
  • Support failure investigations and provide engineering insight based on FEA results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, and testing during product development and validation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and software tools.


المهارات

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FEA of pressure-containing equipment, with a focus on valves.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 2 Part 5 (Design by Analysis).
  • Proficient in at least one FEA software: ANSYS, or equivalent.
  • Experience with industry standards such as API 6A, API 6D, ASME B16.34.
  • Good understanding of material behavior (elastic-plastic, creep, fatigue).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and customer datasheets.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.

   

 

Preferred Ǫualifications:

  • Experience with transient thermal-structural analysis.
  • Exposure to CFD for flow-induced load prediction.
  • Knowledge of ASME Section II (Materials) and Section V (NDE).
  • Familiarity with design tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
