Job description

About the Role

Engco Group is a Texas-based engineering and construction company looking for a Civil Engineer to support our land development team. You'll work on real projects across Texas, focusing on land development, stormwater detention, grading, and site utilities. Familiarity with Texas codes and standards is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn local requirements and apply them correctly is essential.

This role works closely with our US team, so clear and consistent communication on progress, blockers, and timelines is just as important as your technical skills.

What You'll Do

  • Research and collect site information to kick off land development projects and perform civil due diligence
  • Design and draft multi-building land development concept plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Prepare schematic site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts to evaluate site capacity
  • Perform stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to inform cost and constructability decisions
  • Meet with project teams and clients to walk through concept plans, discuss options, and define project direction
  • Communicate regularly with the US team on project status, blockers, and next steps

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Ability to perform stormwater detention analysis and site utility calculations independently
  • Comfortable reading and applying local zoning codes, stormwater management codes, FEMA flood maps, USFWS wetland maps, and record civil and survey drawings
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Reliable, self-directed, and responsive when working across time zones

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience on US-based projects, especially in Texas
  • Familiarity with TxDOT, MUD, and county-level development standards
