Job description

About the Role

Engco Group is a Texas-based engineering and construction company looking for an Architectural Engineer to join our team. You'll work on a mix of residential and commercial projects, producing architectural plans, elevations, and construction documents that our engineering and construction teams build from. Since we handle projects end to end, your drawings need to be coordinated, code-compliant, and ready for the field.

Familiarity with US codes (IBC, IRC, ADA) is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn and apply Texas-specific standards is essential.

This role works closely with our US team, so clear and consistent communication on progress, blockers, and timelines is just as important as your technical skills.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare architectural floor plans, elevations, sections, and details for residential and commercial projects
  • Develop construction documents and permit drawing sets
  • Coordinate architectural designs with structural, civil, and MEP disciplines
  • Apply building codes, occupancy requirements, and accessibility standards to project designs
  • Produce 3D models and renderings to support client presentations and design reviews
  • Review and incorporate client feedback into design revisions
  • Prepare schedules for doors, windows, finishes, and fixtures
  • Communicate regularly with the US team on project status, blockers, and next steps

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong understanding of building codes, life safety, and accessibility requirements
  • Ability to produce complete, coordinated construction document sets independently
  • Comfortable interpreting site plans, structural drawings, and MEP layouts
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Reliable, self-directed, and responsive when working across time zones

Nice to Have

  • Experience with 3ds Max, Lumion, or Enscape for visualization
  • Prior experience on US-based projects, especially in Texas
  • Familiarity with IBC, IRC, and ADA standards
  • Experience with both residential and commercial project types
