Job description


1. JOB PURPOSE:

To drive the development, implementation, and governance of technology strategies and solutions that enable Al Dhafra Petroleum (ADP) and Al Yasat Petroleum (AYP) to achieve operational excellence, innovation, and compliance with ADNOC Group policies. The role ensures robust technology lifecycle management, value creation, and alignment with business objectives.


2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

JOB SPECIFIC ACCOUNATABILITIES


Technology Governance & Compliance


  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of technology governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with ADNOC Group requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with ADNOC technology standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls throughout the technology lifecycle.

Technology Strategy & Planning


  • Define and update the technology vision, strategic objectives, and 5-year roadmap in alignment with ADNOC Group’s technology vision.
  • Conduct periodic market analysis to identify domain-specific technical challenges and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of business cases and economic evaluations for technology initiatives

Technology Lifecycle Oversight


  • Oversee the implementation of technology projects, including readiness assessments, risk planning, and project documentation.
  • Provide ongoing technology support, monitor performance, resolve incidents, and coordinate updates.
  • Plan and execute technology transition or retirement, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and proper documentation.

Value Creation & Performance Monitoring


  • Track and report on the performance and value realization of technology initiatives using defined KPIs and ROI metrics.
  • Support the preparation of regular progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and governance committees.
  • Facilitate lessons learned and continuous improvement activities for technology processes.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement


  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including ADNOC HQ, vendors, and business units, to ensure alignment and effective delivery of technology solutions.
  • Support the preparation of governance presentations, project charters, and progress reports for management and committees.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders to apply the seamless approach of technology lifecycle management.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement


  • Promote the development of a corporate culture that encourages innovation, enhances employee motivation, and supports initiatives for implementation of Change Management to continuously improve Unit’s operations and services.

Policies, Processes and Procedures


  • Guide and ensure the development and implementation of appropriate Unit policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls to support execution of the Company work programmes, in line with ADNOC Corporate, UAE Local & Federal laws and international standards.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability


  • Contribute to the development of Company’s HSE policies and culture while overseeing compliance with all relevant HSE, sustainability and environmental policies, processes, procedures, and controls across the Unit.

Risk Management


  • Participate and proactively contribute to the designing, development and establishment of Company’s integrated Risk Management Framework while identifying and assessing relevant domain risks and recommend planning, management and control measures to mitigate the identified risks within the Unit.
  • Oversee compliance of Risk Management Guidelines that are relevant to the Unit and ensure that corporate business ethics and Company’s Code of Conduct are communicated to employees within the Unit.

Management Reports


  • Ensure that all Unit progress reports are prepared to provide accurate and timely corporate reports and necessary information to Company Management, Board of Directors, Board Advisory Committee, and other shareholder representatives to effectively manage the business.

  • Reports directly to Manager, Corporate Support

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification


  • Bachelor’s degree in applied science / engineering

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills


  • 15+ years’ experience in the oil and gas industry or technology industries

Professional Certifications


  • Will be an advantage.
