Job description

The RAM Lead is a senior systems engineering position responsible for planning, managing, and delivering all Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability activities across the high-speed rail project, covering station structures, TBM tunnel works, and fixed infrastructure systems. The role sits within the Engineering Department and operates in close collaboration with the Safety Assurance Manager, discipline engineers, and the systems integrator to ensure that all subsystems meet contractually defined RAM targets throughout the full project lifecycle — from concept and design through testing, commissioning, and handover to operations.

  • Prior experience on high-speed rail (HSR), metro, or heavy rail projects in the GCC or Middle East region.
  • Experience operating within design & build contract structures with multi-party JV interfaces.
  • Familiarity with subsurface/tunnel infrastructure RAM considerations, including tunnel ventilation, fixed plant, and TBM-related systems.
  • Working knowledge of LCC (Lifecycle Cost) analysis and its integration with RAM outputs.
  • Experience engaging with independent safety assessors (ISA) and regulatory bodies for RAM acceptance.
  • Understanding of rolling stock RAM interfaces and whole-system availability modelling.
