Job description

Job Title: QA Automation Engineer – Selenium (Banking Domain)

Experience: 5 – 9 Years


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and associated tools (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Create and execute automated test cases for UI, API, and regression testing.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects in bug-tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Ensure test coverage, traceability, and effective reporting of test results.
  • Perform data validation using SQL and verify reports where applicable.
  • Apply domain knowledge in Banking/Financial Services to understand key business workflows and design appropriate test scenarios.


Skills

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in QA Automation.
  • Proven expertise in Selenium WebDriver for UI test automation.
  • Experience with Java/Python or any programming language used in automation.
  • Experience in automation frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), or JUnit.
  • Good understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
  • Proficient in SQL and database validation.
  • Strong experience in Banking or Financial Services domain (e.g., retail banking, payments, loans, core banking systems).
  • Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
