Project Director - Sour Gas Treatment Plant

Work Location: Dubai, UAE office based + then moving with the project to Kurdistan, Northern Iraq when project reaches construction phase.

Estimated Remuneration: $17 - 20K USD per month + Medical Insurance + Annual Flights + Visa. When in Kurdistan, your accommodation, utilities, transportation, food, laundry shall be provided by the Company (and it will not be site living).

Role Scope

A high-calibre Project Director to lead the full life cycle execution of a sour gas treatment plant located in Sulaymaniyah, Northern Iraq.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership and project delivery experience, with a proven track record managing large-scale gas projects - especially those involving H₂S-rich sour gas.

You will oversee all technical, commercial, and strategic aspects of the project, acting as the primary point of accountability.

Technical Profile

20+ years of experience in Oil & Gas project execution, with at least 10 years in sour gas processing.

Proven track record leading gas processing projects in the MENA region valued around USD $200m and above.

Deep technical understanding of:
Amine sweetening systemsSulfur Recovery Units (Claus + TGTU)Acid gas compression/disposalGas dehydration and NGL recover


Strong command of project controls, cost management, procurement strategy, and contract execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Process); Master's degree is an added value.





Other Requirements

Willingness to be based in Sulaymaniyah, Northern Iraq, with frequent visits to the site during construction phase.

During the engineering stage, you may need to visit Sulaymaniyah to meet with vendors and EPC contractors.
