Job Purpose

Our Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand team is responsible for conveying the essence of Emirates Group. Our team is pivotal in representing the attitudes, beliefs and goals of our organisation across the globe, both internally and with our customers alike!



The Internal Communications Specialist will support the Internal Communications (IC) unit and the IC Manager with implement of the internal communications strategy. Will be responsible for delivering consistent and timely support for IC channels and to Emirates Group departments, communication requirements for employee and brand engagement. Driving internal communications campaigns and activities across Emirates Group departments to ensure consistently high standards are delivered.



In this role, you will:



  • Implement the IC strategy across the Emirates Group, with particular focus on job holder's designated IC channels with a view to inculcate corporate values group-wide and promulgate the internal communications standards guide as part of brand engagement.
  • Be the day to day point of contact for designated divisions and business units to provide guidance and support regarding all areas of staff communication. Account manage client needs and assist with the implementation of employee engagement and communication strategies in line with the annual budget and IC strategy.
  • Develop formal avenues of staff feedback with the help of Market Research and liaise with designated divisions/units and HR to analyse existing research and data on staff demographics for targeted and effective staff engagement campaigns. Provide guidance and support on the interpretation and best use of employee engagement survey data to ensure relevant action is taken to resolve issued raised.
  • Ensure that all projects within the responsibilities outlined are implemented based on KPIs and Corporate Communications project management framework to ensure delivery within scope, time, quality and cost (for example Safar staff magazine).
  • Update the IC projects register and provide weekly and monthly reports on designated areas which will cover status updates on initiatives, campaigns, and all communications rolled out, as well as measured effectiveness.
  • Ensure that projects are kept in-house wherever possible, without compromising on timelines, creativity and the high standards expected within the Group. Co-ordinate with various in-house and external suppliers to produce and distribute internal communications collateral and oversee all copy and design to ensure consistency and timely distribution.
  • Keep abreast of new trends in IC and best practices within the communications industry. Develop a good understanding of not only the designated areas of the business but also of the evolving needs of businesses across the group to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained.
Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:



  • Experience in Marketing & Media Communication, 5+ Years.
  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Mass Communications / Journalism / HR.
  • Must have experience in internal/employee communications or public relations role, with experience in planning and managing internal communications activities with a multinational company or agency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present proposals professionally and to deal effectively with all stakeholders - management, staff and suppliers.
  • Developed thorough expertise in all areas of IC such as brand engagement, campaigns, channel or change management to ensure the highest service and advice is provided.
