Overview Of The Role:


  • The Store Interior Design Co-worker is responsible for creating functional, aesthetic, and commercially viable home furnishing solutions that enhance the IKEA brand's position as a leader in life at home. Key success factors include understanding local market needs, collaborating with the Com&In team to execute business growth initiatives, and maintaining high-quality and efficient presentation solutions. The role requires a balance of design skills, creativity, and business acumen to develop solutions that exceed customer expectations while optimizing profitability.


What You Will Do:


Design Solutions


  • Create home furnishing solutions in room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity.
  • Gather insights from home visit interviews and translate this knowledge into functional, aesthetic, and commercial solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Contribute to a diverse Showroom matrix that showcases various styles, living situations, and price levels.
  • Use global tools and best practices to ensure high quality, efficiency, and cost consciousness in range presentation solutions.
  • Stay informed about home furnishing trends to generate creative ideas in workshops.


Collaboration and Business Development


  • Contribute to the department action plan with initiatives to grow the business and support long-term profitability.
  • Work collaboratively with the Com&In team and other functions to execute agreed plans.
  • Respect routines and responsibilities, and act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities.
  • Understand the financial impact of actions and make decisions accordingly.
  • Consider visitor safety and minimize disruption while working on the shop floor.
