The Gold Trader is responsible for buying and selling physical gold and gold-related financial instruments in domestic and international markets. This role includes market research, trade execution, client management, and collaboration with logistics, finance, and compliance teams to optimize profitability and manage risks.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute physical and/or paper gold trades (bullion, ETFs, futures, etc.)
• Monitor global gold markets, pricing trends, and macroeconomic indicators
• Build and maintain strong relationships with refineries, dealers, and clients
• Negotiate deals, delivery terms, and financial conditions
• Monitor inventory levels, positions, and exposure limits
• Coordinate with logistics for storage, transportation, and delivery of gold
• Ensure all transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements
• Generate P&L reports and provide trade performance analysis
• Participate in industry conferences and networking events
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in precious metals or commodities trading
• Strong knowledge of gold markets, trading platforms, and market mechanisms
• Excellent negotiation, sales, and communication skills
• Strong quantitative and analytical thinking
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, and trading platforms
• Fluent in English (other languages are a plus)

• Established network in the precious metals industry
• Understanding of hedging techniques and risk management tools
• Familiarity with international trade and import/export regulations
