Lead the planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls, advanced planning tools, and construction methodologies Duties and responsibilities Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using industry-standard planning software (e.
g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Lead the planning and scheduling efforts from project initiation through to completion.
Analyze project performance, identify risks and delays, and propose corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain detailed baseline schedules and periodic updates.
Integrate cost and schedule data to support Earned Value Management (EVM).
Participate in project meetings and provide input on schedule impacts and recovery plans.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and management teams to ensure alignment of schedules.
Develop resource-loaded schedules and monitor productivity and resource utilization.
Generate progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure all planning and scheduling work complies with organizational and contractual standards.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Engineering or a related field from a recognized university, with over 15 years of relevant experience.
Master’s Degree (MSc) in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field from a recognized university, with over 12 years of relevant experience.
Active membership in a recognized chartered institution (e.
g., PMI, AACE, CIOB, ICE, or equivalent) is required.
Proven experience in planning and scheduling of major construction or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning tools.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and resource planning.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance measurement techniques.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Experience in preparing claims/delay analysis is an advantage.
