MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To lead and optimize maintenance planning and scheduling processes, ensuring reliability and efficiency of assets, while mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement in a gasification and power production facility.


JOB OBJECTIVES


1.    Optimize Asset Management Processes: To analyze, design, and improve end‑to‑end enterprise asset management processes (maintenance planning, work management, asset lifecycle, spare parts management). Ensure best‑practice alignment with organizational standards and operational strategy.

2.    Support and enhance the EAM System: To configure, maintain, and enhance EAM modules to support maintenance, reliability, and operations. Ensures accurate and efficient system functionality to meet business requirements. Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and data integrity. This includes equipment and functional location master data, maintenance notifications and work orders, preventive maintenance plans and task lists, Maintenance scheduling and execution

3.    Partner With Business Stakeholders: To engage with maintenance, reliability, engineering, supply chain, EHSS, operations, and finance teams to understand requirements. Translates business needs into functional specifications and workable system solutions. Serves as a bridge between technical teams (developers/IT) and end‑users. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration (e.g., SAP MM, QM, CO, HR).

4.    Drive Master Data Excellence: To ensure high-quality master data for equipment, functional locations, BOMs, task lists, and maintenance plans. Supports data governance, validation, and continuous improvement of asset data. Support S/4HANA migrations and Fiori app enablement (if applicable).

5.    Improve Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Efficiency: To support the creation, optimization, and automation of maintenance plans and work orders. Introduces best practices in preventive, predictive, and reliability‑centered maintenance. Customizes PM module settings in SAP via SPRO.

6.    Support Change Management & User Adoption: To develop training materials and conduct training sessions for maintenance and operations users. Promotes standardization and consistent use of EAM processes across sites. Provides system support, troubleshooting, and guidance to end-users. Creates and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and training materials.

7.    Enable Reporting and Performance Analytics: To build dashboards, KPIs, and reports for maintenance performance (availability, reliability, cost, backlog, compliance). Enables data-driven decision-making across maintenance and asset management functions. Performs data migration using LSMW, BAPIs, or BDCs. Works with ABAP developers to define functional specs for custom reports or enhancements. Monitors and resolve tickets in support systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA).

8.    Ensure Compliance & Audit Readiness: To ensure maintenance documentation, work processes, and asset information are compliant with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. Supports internal/external audits related to asset management systems.

9.    Contribute to Continuous Improvement and Digital Transformation: To Support new technologies such as mobile maintenance, IoT sensors, predictive maintenance, and integrated digital workflows. Drives continuous improvement initiatives to increase asset reliability and reduce downtime.

Support Project Delivery: To participate in or lead EAM-related projects (system rollouts, process redesign, upgrades, integrations). Ensures timely delivery of project tasks, documentation, and testing.


Formal Qualifications/Education


Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information system or equivalent - Essential

SAP PM Certification: Certified SF PM/EAM Consultant - Essential

Advanced certifications or masteral in IT Management preferred - Preferred


Job Related Work Experience


8-12 Years of work experience as SAP PM Consultant working with ERP teams supporting the effective management of plant maintenance activities through SAP working as SAP Plant Maintenance module (PM) in medium / large firm. - Essential


Experience in configuring, customizing, and supporting the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module, including integration with MM, QM, CO, and other relevant modules. - Essential
