We’re hiring a Sales Executive / Sales Supervisor (Modern Trade) for Riyadh to join a fast-moving FMCG business where execution actually matters. What they’re looking for
Why this role is worth a look
Modern Trade key account execution: proven ability to drive sales vs target across MT customers, manage day-to-day account performance, and consistently deliver against agreed plans.
Listings and distribution growth: strong capability in getting new listings, opening/activating new MT customers, expanding range, and maintaining compliant documentation to keep listings live.
Shelf share and in-store excellence: hands-on skill in protecting availability and visibility, improving shelf share, executing planograms/displays, and ensuring promo compliance in-store (not just “selling in”).
Promotion execution and follow-through: ability to execute promotions, offers, and in-store activities end-to-end, coordinate POSM, and track results with tight closure on gaps.
Cross-functional coordination: strong collaboration with Trade Marketing, Merchandising, and Logistics to maintain service levels, reduce OOS, improve OTIF, and resolve in-store issues fast.
Customer relationship management: strong communication, negotiation, and a customer-first mindset; able to handle objections, manage expectations, and keep customers satisfied while protecting company standards.
Collections discipline: confident handling collections (cash/cheques) within policy, managing credit exposure, and following up to keep receivables clean.
Reporting and data hygiene: disciplined weekly/monthly reporting, accurate forecasting, and comfort using Excel/PowerPoint for performance updates; attention to detail with numbers and timelines.
NTE and damages control: ability to manage trade spend/NTE within budget, monitor returns/damages/expiry risk, and take corrective action quickly.
Pressure handling and time management: organised route planning, prioritisation across multiple customers, and consistent execution under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
Language and systems: Arabic (essential), basic English; confident Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP/HR systems is a plus (note: SAP SuccessFactors is typically HR—if they mean SAP/ERP, worth clarifying in interview).
