Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years of experience, specifically in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying activities, ensuring accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates for PMC projects.
• Preparing bills of quantities and tender documents.
• Evaluating contractor bids and negotiating contracts.
• Monitoring project budgets and financial progress throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conducting site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost variations.
• Managing variations and claims from contractors.
• Providing regular reports to project stakeholders on cost performance and forecasting.
• Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within budgetary constraints.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on PMC projects.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., RICS, CIQS) is preferred.
