Project Support Engineer (Turbine Engineer)

• Duties and Responsibilities:
• v General:
• Ø Support the Programme Manager in all technical, commercial and contractual matters
• Ø Coordinate and support pre-outage planning for service projects
• Ø Provide support for pre-outage activities (development of work scope, outage schedules, staffing histograms, site organization chart, and safety document.
• Ø Forecast and schedule resources for field service outages.
• Ø Provide first response mechanical support for customers as may be necessary during unplanned maintenance event. Including deployment to site to recommend, direct and or implement trouble shooting, fact finding, or repair activities.
• Ø Provide support for post outage activities (site restoration and parts shipment) upon completion services.
• Ø Provide support to MHPS-SA commercial department for proposal development.
• Ø Support customer/internal negotiation and implementation meetings as required.
• Ø Support the development of quality vendors to support the service mission of MHPS-SA by seeking quality service organizations that can contribute to the requirements.
• Ø Interface internally with service organizations as needed in order to plan outage implementation requirements
• Ø Develop cost estimates for Gas Turbine, Generator and Steam Turbine service proposals.
• Ø RFQ, Quotations, arrange PO’s with Commercial Department, check invoices
• Ø The coordination and supervision of internal resources and subcontractors will be expected.
• Ø The production of documentation is a key activity; this will include Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Technical information, quotations and reports. 
• Ø Provide first line response to technical queries, this will include initial diagnosis and rectification.
• Ø Correspond at all levels with internal and external departments in order to manage all customer related issues.

• Ø Support other Programme managers as required to meet the objections of the programme management team.
