Purpose
To perform process engineering activities for the Company’s Central Process Engineering function ensuring all activities comply with standardised Company processes and are delivered to the highest standards. The candidate will operate in technical environment and interface with multiple internal and external stake holders.
Scope
The Jazan IGCC (Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle) is the world’s largest IGCC Power Plant facility processing vacuum residue to generate syngas. Further processing units include Acid Gas Removal, Soot Ash Recovery, Sulphur Recovery and Hydrogen Purification. The Combined Cycle Power Generation Plant consists of Syngas/ULSD fired Gas Turbines, HRSGs, and Steam Turbines. Extensive Utilities including Water treatment, wastewater treatment and instrument air. The facility is in the Jazan Economic City, in the province of Jazan, KSA.
As a Process Engineer at the Jazan IGCC you will support Central Engineering team to execute process design work under the direction of process manager.
The Central Process Engineering team works across the whole facility on IGCC’s larger technical challenges as well as developing the basis of design, process specifications and scope of work packages for changes at site. Supporting the change process on plant, Central Process Engineering team gets involved in resolution of technical queries, Management of Change processes and support the project execution team during change Projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering with minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant process engineering role.
•Experience in FEED engineering project development.
•Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to Oil and Gas and Refining Industries (API, ASME, etc.) and preferably also Saudi Aramco standards and working practices.
•Understand the design requirements of process safety systems, including relief devices, and safety instrumented systems.
•Proficiency in English speaking and writing.
•The ability to provide well-written reports and/or presentations of technical work.
