The Role: Buyer
This role will be based in Jazan
6 days a week, 60 hours
The incumbent will be hired through a Contractor
Job Overview:
As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in managing our company's
procurement activities and ensuring effective collaboration with
external vendors and suppliers. Your expertise will be instrumental
in negotiating, drafting, and executing subcontract agreements,
while ensuring compliance with company policies, legal regulations,
and industry standards. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with
cross-functional teams to support project success, maintain strong
vendor relationships, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our
procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Purchasing:
o Oversee the end to end subcontracting process, including
identification, selection, and evaluation of subcontractors.
o Ensure that all contractual agreements align with project
requirements and company standards.
• Contract Negotiation:
o Skillfully negotiate contract terms and conditions to secure
favorable agreements for the company.
o Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to review and
finalize contracts.
• Compliance:
Ensure adherence to company policies, legal
requirements, and industry regulation in all
subcontracting activities.
o Mitigate potential risks and monitor subcontractor’s
compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Vendor Relationship Management:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with
subcontractors and vendors
o Foster open communication, address concerns, and
resolve any issues that may arise during the project
execution.
• Cost Control:
o Collaborate with finance and project management
teams to monitor subcontracting costs, track
expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives
without compromising on quality or project
deliverables.
• Performance Evaluation:
o Assess subcontractors' performance based on key
performance indicators (KPIs) and agreed-upon
metrics
o Provide feedback to subcontractors and initiate
corrective actions when necessary.
• Documentation:
o Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all
subcontract-related documentation, including
contracts, amendments, change orders, and other
relevant correspondence.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business
Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a
related field is a plus
• Experience:
o Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a similar
Excellent negotiation, communication, and
interpersonal skills
o Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and
mitigate risks effectively
Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong
documentation skills
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
and lead cross-functional initiatives
o Proven experience in subcontract management,
contract negotiation, and vendor relationship
management
o Strong understanding of procurement processes, legal
regulations, and compliance standards
