Job description

JOB SCOPE:

Responsible for operating the control board that controls the productions. Continuously monitor and control the process variables to meet production plan/specifications and operate the plant safely, reliably and efficiently. Respond to any emergency situation in accordance with standard procedures and/or instructions from the Shift Supervisor. Advice internal stake holder on the control operation activities in compliance with guidelines. Guide, manage and resolve technical problems, provide timely & efficient communications. Effectively respond to operational abnormalities.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1- Provide OME team with the necessary support with instruction, data, communication to maintain high level of production and performance. Ensure safety, health and environmental standards data points, indicators are maintained.

2- Continuously monitor and control the process variables to meet production plan/specifications and operate the plant safely, reliably and efficiently.

3- Respond to all process alarms and take immediate corrective actions to resolve the alarms. Maintain parameters, Communicate, Control changes, Alarm as necessary as per the set standards and guidelines.

4- Monitor online analyser data and review laboratory analysis to ensure meeting product specifications and take corrective actions as needed with coordination with shift supervisor.

5- Respond to any emergency situation in accordance with standard procedures and/or instructions from the Shift Supervisor.

6- Provide direction to Field Operators as necessary to meet production plan/specifications.

7- Monitor and alter status of remote start/stop equipment in accordance with the standing orders and day-to-day instructions and control interlock status in accordance with the Company procedures.

8- Report all information relating to the operation of the plant during the shift to the Shift Supervisor.

9- Identify, plan and implement work process improvement opportunities.

10- Maintain a record of information such as computer operating time, problems that occurred, and actions taken.

11- In-charge of keeping all hardware such as ESD button and DCS console in good operating conditions.

12- Perform and direct safe and efficient shutdowns and start-up of assigned units in accordance with the standard procedures.

13- Fully comprehend and adhere to relevant safety and environmental policies and procedures. Provide the necessary support to the respective OME team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.

14- Ensure playing effective roles during the real emergency as per ERP role & responsibilities.

15- Participate effectively on unit performance in regard of total plant reliability program & set the corrective action plan to close the gaps.

16- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education Requirements: Two (2) years Diploma in Process, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Years of work experience: Twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
