Job description

  1. Duties and Responsibilities:
  2.  Operate and monitor machinery and equipment in HGPP shop.
  3.  Operate vacuum furnaces, air furnaces, ultrasonic cleaners, chemical stripping units, and air compressors, brazing equipment, and EDM drilling machine according to operational requirements.
  4.  Prepare components and set up equipment for operation processes, ensuring proper procedure and required specification.
  5.  Conduct regular maintenance and mechanical inspections of machinery to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
  6.  Perform repairs and troubleshooting on machines, pumps and equpiment as needed.
  7.  Identify and resolve mechaincal operational issues with equipment.
  8.  Report significant problems to the foreman when necessary.
  9.  Comply to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  10.  Work effectively with shop foreman and other team members to meet shop objectives and to comply with MPW rules and regulation.
  11.  Maintain accurate operation logs, check sheets and documentation for all processes and equipment used.
  12.  Maintain the required level of efficiency, productivity and professionalism . In line with MPW standard.
  13.  Good understanding of mechanical processes, heavy machines and pumps.
  14.  Safely manage and handle chemical materials, solutions, and liquids in accordance with safety protocols and operational standards.
  15.  Fill out and maintain the daily operation records for the heat treatment process and chemical stripping process.
  16.  Perform and ensure the required masking and protection for the gas turbine components when required.
  17.  Operate the Jib crane and Overhead crane to carry heavy components /material when required.
  18.  Ensure that surrounding area of responsibility are kept clean and tidy.
  19.  Perform housekeeping and shop arrangement tasks once requested by the shop foreman
  20.  Maintain the required materials, tools and safety equipment in good working condition.
  21. Ensure chemical stripping activities are executed in compliance with MPW standard and QHSE requirements.
  22. Comply with any designated tasks assigned by factory management.
  23.  Perform additional duties to support the business as needed.

Skills

  1.  Strong understanding of mechanical processes, pumps, and chemical materials, with hands-on experience in operation and handling.
  2.  Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  3.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4.  Good communication skills for following instructions and reporting issues.
  5.  Basic computer skills.
  6.  Forklift operation experience is preferred.. 
  7.  Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  8.  Understanding of health and safety issues, particularly related to workshop activities and chemical handling.
  9.  The position is based in a repair shop environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
