The Executive Director is responsible for the management and execution of the charity, in line with the strategy and governance frameworks set by the Board and applicable laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures effective organizational performance, risk management, and alignment between operations, impact, and regulatory obligations.
1. Strategy Execution and Organizational Performance
- Translate Board-approved strategy into operational plans, budgets, and performance targets.
- Drive execution across programs and functions to achieve agreed objectives.
- Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Proactively identify and manage organizational risks, and provide evidence-based recommendations to inform strategic updates and decision-making, in alignment with the Chairperson and relevant Board committees.
2. Operations and Program Delivery
- Oversee and direct all operational activities, programs, and projects.
- Ensure effective, efficient, and compliant delivery of services.
- Allocate resources and prioritize initiatives in line with approved plans.
- Ensure appropriate systems, processes, and operational infrastructure (including tools, workflows, and internal support functions) are in place to support efficiency and scalability.
3. Beneficiary Relations and Service Quality
- Define and enforce standards for beneficiary targeting, service delivery, and accessibility.
- Oversee monitoring of service quality, beneficiary satisfaction, and program outcomes, and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure consistency of service delivery frameworks across programs.
- Ensure safeguarding standards and duty-of-care obligations are implemented where applicable.
- Identify service gaps and propose improvements to programs and delivery models.
- Ensure effective grievance and feedback mechanisms, including escalation of critical issues.
4. Compliance and Regulatory Management
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, bylaws, regulatory requirements, and data protection and confidentiality obligations.
- Maintain audit readiness and organizational compliance systems.
- Identify compliance risks, implement corrective actions, and escalate material issues to the Board.
5. Financial and Resource Management
- Prepare and manage the annual budget and financial plans for Board approval.
- Ensure financial discipline, effective use of funds, and strong internal financial controls.
- Align resource allocation with organizational priorities and contribute to financial sustainability planning in coordination with resource mobilization efforts.
6. People and Organizational Development
- Lead recruitment, organizational structuring, and workforce planning.
- Manage performance, accountability, and staff development.
- Build and foster a high-performance, ethical, and accountable organizational culture.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, institutional development, and knowledge sharing.
7. Governance Implementation and Internal Control
- Implement Board-approved governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure execution of Board decisions across the organization.
- Report regularly to the Board and relevant Board committees on progress and outcomes.
- Establish internal control systems, reporting lines, and accountability mechanisms.
- Delegate authority appropriately while maintaining oversight.
8. Resource Mobilization and Donor Management
- Lead execution of fundraising and resource mobilization efforts.
- Manage donor relationships and funding partnerships at the operational level, in coordination with the Chairperson and relevant Board committees.
- Ensure adherence to donor requirements and reporting obligations.
- Monitor funding sustainability and escalate risks to the Board.
9. External Relations and Representation
- Represent the organization in operational and partnership engagements, and support positioning in line with its mission, values, and strategic objectives, in coordination with the Chairperson where appropriate.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, and government entities, in conjunction with the Chairperson and relevant Board committees.
- Ensure external engagements align with approved strategy and regulatory requirements.

- Bachelor’s degree (minimum).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, including senior leadership roles.
