Job description

Purpose of the job

To ensure effective, efficient and timely response to plant breakdowns with respect to site electrical issues. Also to ensure that maintenance and calibrations are completed on time and in full as per the site requirements.

Key Accountabilities

 

1. Maintenance

  • Ensure proactive response to maintenance and breakdowns on site ensuring continuity of production and services.
  • Carry out site maintenance activities and ensure GMP standards are reached.
  • Ensure that plant and equipment perform to manufacture the products efficiently and to high quality standards.
  • To liaise, assist with training and support other departments in general running of the factory.
  • Attend the section reviews as per the company's operating system (SOS), give feedback for agreed actions or commit to new actions and participate in continuous improvement activities

2. Health & Safety

  • Ensure a clean and safe work area and potential risks are communicated for corrective action in order to follow the company's health & safety policy
    • Personally demonstrate safe behavior and take responsibility for the management of health & safety of engineering staff and contractors
    • Ensure all work conforms to statutory & safety requirements
    • Support a culture that enhances behavioral awareness to reduce accidents and near misses

3.Testing & Installation

  • Test all electrical instruments and install new plant & electrical equipment, in order to follow the original equipment manufacturer's instructions and in-house QC procedures
