Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller to support project documentation activities across construction, infrastructure, and technology-related projects in KSA.


This site-based role will act as a key point of coordination for document control activities, ensuring project records, submissions, tracking logs, reports, and documentation workflows are properly maintained and aligned with client and project requirements.


The ideal candidate will be reliable, highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced site environment, and able to coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors, consultants, and client representatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for document control activities at the project site.
  • Coordinate documentation between project teams, contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Support project leads with document creation, submission, tracking, follow-up, and closure.
  • Maintain accurate filing, scanning, organization, and archiving of project documents.
  • Track project materials, document status, logs, and required backup documentation.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and reports to support project reporting requirements.
  • Attend internal and client project progress meetings when required.
  • Maintain proper records in line with project procedures, quality requirements, and client standards.
  • Support compliance with project documentation processes, quality manuals, and document control procedures.
  • Ensure documents are properly named, stored, updated, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Follow up on pending submissions, approvals, comments, and closeout documentation.
QualificationsEssential Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in document control, administration, construction, engineering, or office-based project support.
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or project-based environments is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Good understanding of file management, document tracking, data entry, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple documents, deadlines, and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially in client-facing or site-based roles.
  • Adaptable, quick to learn, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
  • Previous experience in KSA construction or engineering projects.
  • Exposure to document management systems such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
  • Arabic communication skills are an advantage.
  • Experience supporting project controls, reporting, quality, or site administration teams.
  • Familiarity with quality manuals, document registers, transmittals, and approval workflows.
