JOB PURPOSE:
To bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions by analyzing, documenting, and testing banking applications and services, ensuring high-quality implementations aligned with business objectives.
KEY RESULTS AREAS / DELIVERABLES and KEY ACTIVITIES:
BUSINESS ANALYSIS AND REQUIREMENTS GATHERING
- Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed technical and functional requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to capture system and process requirements.
- Prepare Business Requirements Specification (BRS) documents in line with client standards.
- Track and document changes in business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with developers and systems analysts for requirement clarification and translation.
FUNCTIONAL AND USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING (UAT)
- Oversee the planning and execution of system integration testing (SIT) and UAT for banking applications.
- Review business requirements and prepare comprehensive test cases covering all scenarios.
- Execute test cases and log defects following the defect lifecycle management protocol.
- Analyze test scope for completeness and perform regression testing where necessary.
- Report test execution status and collaborate with technical teams for issue resolution.
BANKING TECHNOLOGY EXPERTISE
- Act as subject matter expert on banking channels including SMS Banking, Call Center Applications, IVR, Online and Mobile Banking.
- Apply working knowledge of core banking systems (e.g., Equation) in daily analysis and testing.
- Contribute to initiatives involving Open Banking APIs and integration with external systems.
- Follow up on system incidents and coordinate resolution with developers and system support.
- Ensure timely delivery of required business solutions with minimal disruption to operations.
DOCUMENTATION AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER
- Create and maintain user manuals, process flows, training materials, and procedural documentation.
- Prepare business cycle specifications including control mechanisms and system output formats.
- Support internal training sessions and knowledge sharing for new processes and systems.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible for all relevant stakeholders.
STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION AND ETHICS
- Liaise with internal departments and external contacts to ensure clarity in deliverables.
- Uphold confidentiality standards and ensure secure handling of all client data.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and adherence to the bank’s code of conduct.
- Provide clear and timely communication to project managers, users, and IT stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional teamwork and maintain alignment with reporting hierarchy.
