Job Purpose
To provide technical support to the sales team and channel partners by designing,
recommending, and demonstrating HIKVISION security solutions including CCTV, IP
surveillance, access control, video intercom, and related systems. The role bridges
technical expertise with commercial sales to drive project wins and customer satisfaction
in the Oman market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Sales Support
Support sales team in identifying customer requirements and proposing suitable HIKVISION solutions.
Conduct site surveys and prepare technical reports.
Design CCTV, IP surveillance, and security system layouts using design tools.
Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), compliance statements, and response to the technical clarifications.
2. Solution Design & System Architecture
Design complete surveillance systems including:
o IP cameras, NVRs, VMS
o Access control systems
o Video intercom
o ANPR and AI solutions
o Alarm System,
o Notworking (LAN & Wifi) Solutions.
o Commercial Display Solutions.
Ensure designs comply with Oman regulations and client specifications.
Optimize storage calculations, bandwidth planning, and system scalability.
3. Product Demonstrations & Training
Conduct technical presentations and product demos for:
o Integrators
o Consultants
o End users
Organize training sessions for channel partners on new HIKVISION technologies.
Support marketing team in technical seminars and roadshows.
4. Technical Consultation
Provide technical clarifications to consultants and contractors.
Coordinate with HIKVISION technical support for complex projects.
Recommend alternatives based on stock availability and project requirements.
5. Tender & Project Support
Review tender documents and identify technical compliance gaps.
Prepare technical comparison sheets and competitive analysis reports.
Support sales team during project negotiations.
Assist post-award in smooth project handover to implementation team.
6. Market & Product Intelligence
Stay updated on:
o HIKVISION new product releases
o AI-based surveillance technologies
o Competitor products (Dahua, Uniview, Axis, etc.)
Provide technical insights to management on market trends in Oman.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in:
o Electronics Engineering
o IT / Computer Engineering
2–5 years experience in CCTV / ELV / Security Systems (preferably HIKVISION or similar brand).
Experience in distribution business is preferred.
Technical Skills Required
Strong knowledge of:
o IP Surveillance Systems
o Networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, PoE, Switching)
o Storage calculations & RAID systems
o Video Management Systems
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools.
Understanding of Oman security regulations and tender processes is an advantage.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset.
Strong coordination skills between sales and technical teams.
Ability to work under deadline pressure (especially for tenders).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Technical support contribution to sales conversion rate.
Accuracy of BOQ and system design.
Number of partner trainings conducted.
Tender win support ratio.
Customer satisfaction on technical consultation.
Preferred Attributes for Oman Market
Valid Oman driving license.
Experience dealing with:
o Government tenders/ Oil & Gas projects/ Large commercial developments
Arabic language skills are an added advantage
