🚨 Engineering Manager Opportunity – Mining Sector (Oman)
 
We are currently partnering with one of our leading clients in the mining industry in Oman to identify a highly experienced Engineering Manager to join their Projects & Technical function.
This is a senior owner-side role responsible for safeguarding the technical integrity of major mining and processing projects across study and execution phases, with a strong focus on engineering assurance and capital project governance.
🔎 Key areas of responsibility include:

• Leading structured engineering design reviews (30%, 60%, 90%) across EPCM deliverables
• Validating plant throughput and metallurgical recovery assumptions in study and FEED stages
• Ensuring designs are operable, maintainable, and constructable from an owner’s perspective
• Managing and maintaining engineering standards and technical governance frameworks
• Leading technical due diligence for joint ventures, financing, and investment decisions
• Driving value engineering initiatives and capital optimisation across the project portfolio
• Embedding lessons learned into future study and execution phases

🎯 Ideal candidate profile:

• 15+ years of experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial projects
• Strong exposure to studies (PFS / DFS / FEED) and EPCM environments
• Background in owner-side engineering, technical assurance, or senior consultancy roles
• Solid understanding of process engineering, metallurgy, and capital cost estimation
• Experience interfacing with lenders, JVs, or board-level technical stakeholders

This is a high-impact technical leadership position with direct influence on project delivery quality, investment decisions, and long-term asset performance.
