Responsibilities
Country Head of Sales is responsible for leading sales operations, expanding market presence, and driving revenue growth for products like ductile iron pipes or alternate pipes and castings.
Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement a national sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities
- Build relationships with government bodies, municipalities, contractors, and private developers.
Market Expansion & Customer Acquisition
- Expand sales network by onboarding distributors, dealers, and direct clients.
- Enter new territories and projects to increase market share.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with government agencies, EPC contractors, and industrial buyers.
Key Account & Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and large infrastructure companies.
- Provide technical consultations and assist clients in product selection.
- Ensure timely delivery, after-sales support, and customer satisfaction.
Competitor & Market Analysis
- Monitor market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activities.
- Identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
- Work with R&D and production teams to enhance product quality and features.
Team Leadership & Sales Management
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales and distribution team.
- Set KPIs, sales targets, and performance goals.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and training programs.
Pricing & Profitability Management
- Develop competitive pricing strategies while ensuring profit margins.
- Work with the finance and supply chain teams for cost control.
- Negotiate pricing with clients based on market conditions and raw material costs.
Coordination with Manufacturing & Supply Chain
- Work closely with production teams to ensure product availability.
- Coordinate with logistics for timely deliveries to customers.
- Address any quality issues or supply chain disruptions.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASTM, EN, BIS, etc.).
- Keep track of government regulations, tenders, and contracts.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to senior management.
