We are looking for a self‑sufficient Linux & Kubernetes Engineer with proven expertise in building and operating container orchestration platforms, GitOps workflows, and cloud‑native tooling. The role owns the end‑to‑end lifecycle of our Kubernetes estate, leveraging Rancher for fleet management, ArgoCD for continuous deployment, and GitHub for version control
Role Accountabilities
• Design, build, and maintain production‑grade Kubernetes clusters (Rancher‑managed) across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Automate application and platform deployments using GitOps principles with Argo CD and GitHub.
• Administer Linux servers, ensuring patch management, compliance, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform/Helm).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for cluster and workload health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform incidents, participating in an on‑call rota.
• Drive capacity planning, cost optimization, and security hardening of the platform.
• Produce clear documentation and knowledge articles, mentor junior engineers.

Experience
• 5–7 years administering Linux systems in production environments.
• 3+ years designing and operating Kubernetes clusters (Rancher experience preferred).
• Hands‑on expertise with Argo CD (or equivalent GitOps tool) and GitHub Actions.
• Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python) and IaC tools (Terraform, Helm).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and observability within container platforms.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, SDLC, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Minimum Entry Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
