As a Planning Engineer (Mechanical) in the field of Project & Construction Planning, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure successful execution of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align project timelines, optimize resource allocation, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where you will contribute to both technical planning and strategic decision-making. You will also have opportunities for professional growth through continuous learning, training programs, and hands-on project exposure. Key Responsibilities • Develop detailed project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. • Perform resource planning, including manpower, materials, and equipment allocation. • Monitor project progress and compare it against the baseline schedule. • Identify potential delays and risks, and propose mitigation strategies. • Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts. • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and stakeholders for planning updates. • Analyze project performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency. • Maintain proper documentation of schedules, revisions, and project changes. • Participate in project meetings and provide planning insights. • Support and guide junior planning engineers when required.
Qualifications •
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a Planning Engineer role.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Planning Engineer role within construction or engineering projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in Primavera P6 (Version 8.0 or above).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
Required Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills. • Solid understanding of construction methodologies and project workflows.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of resource planning, cost control, and budgeting
