Job description

I. MECHANICAL ENGINEER


  1. Ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems like HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and energy management.
  2. Managing preventative/reactive maintenance, overseeing contractors, optimizing energy consumption, troubleshooting equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards (HSEQ), and managing budgetary and technical projects. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • System Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and repairs on specialized mechanical equipment (chillers, air handling units, elevators, and conveyors).
  • HVAC and Energy Management: Monitoring and optimizing building management systems (BMS) to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Operational Management: Developing and implementing maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, and improving building environment systems.
  • Technical Project Management: Leading renovations, installing new equipment, managing technical plans, and coordinating contractor activities.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (HSEQ/OSHA) standards and managing technical documentation. 


Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and AutoCAD.
  • Management: Experience with computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software, budgeting, and leading teams.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve operational issues. 


Typical Focus Areas:

·       HVAC & Air Quality: Maintaining temperature control and ventilation.

·       Fire Safety: Testing and ensuring fire suppression equipment is operational.

·       Sustainability: Reducing energy usage via improved building systems. 

Education

1.      Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field



II. INSTRUMENT ENGINEER


Ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of building control systems, sensors, and automation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Calibration: Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on instrumentation, control valves, and sensors to ensure high availability and accuracy.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose complex issues with control systems (DCS, PLC, BMS) and field instruments, implementing timely repairs.
  • System Optimization: Analyze instrument data trends to optimize system performance, minimize energy consumption, and ensure compliance with safety/environmental standards.
  • Project Support: Support facility upgrades, modifications, and new equipment installations, including reviewing technical drawings and vendor data.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for instrumentation loops, calibration records, cause-and-effect diagrams, and safety protocols.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ATEX, SIL, OSHA) and adhere to facility safety procedures. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical).
  • Experience in facility maintenance, BMS, or industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and field devices.

  • Technical proficiency with diagnostic tools and instrumentation software.
  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities
