Job description

  • Responsible for Maintaining and monitoring contract & projects Accounting entries, recording and reports.-         
  • Maintain a comprehensive master register of all projects and contracts, including key commercial, financial, and operational data.
  • Record and maintain all supporting documentation for contracts and project-related journal entries.
  • Apply percentage of completion (POC) / progress-based accounting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Calculate, analyze, and review Bills of Materials (BOM) related to contracts and projects.
  • Conduct and supervise physical inventory and stock counts at project sites, and reconcile variances with accounting records.
  • Prepare and post all project-related journal entries accurately in the accounting system.
  • Maintain detailed subsidiary ledgers for all project and contract-related accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports and financial statements, ensuring accurate project cost and revenue recognition.
  • Maintain detailed tracking of project cash advances, petty cash, materials, and items under custody.
  • Prepare, review, and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries related to contracts and projects.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • minimum 3 years in contracting accounting
  • Well versed in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word….etc) 
  • Solid working knowledge of software and database systems used in analyzing the production work. 
  • Ability to summarize and present complex financial data in an organized, concise manner 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual would be a plus
