Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Al Kuwait. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our organization. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Maintain and update financial records and ledgers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
3. Support the accounts payable and receivable processes by processing invoices, payments, and collections.
4. Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
5. Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
6. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
7. Collaborate with senior accountants to conduct audits and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
8. Participate in the implementation of new accounting software and systems to improve efficiency.
9. Provide support during financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation.
10. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and contribute to a culture of excellence in the finance department.

Preferred Candidate:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
6. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
7. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
8. Knowledge of local accounting regulations and tax laws is a plus.
9. Experience with financial analysis and reporting is desirable.
10. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and integrity in financial practices.
