The Campus Director will provide inspiring leadership to the academic and administrative staff and learners, provide strategic directions to ensure proper development, managing the operation of the campus that deliver campus vision and achieve its mission, provide operational and financial leadership to ensure the successful delivery of the campus’s educational objectives and the highest quality of student experience, while effectively engaging with and supporting staff and neighboring community.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Establish the build the management framework, including policies and standards for the optimization of Campus space, assessment of building and property needs and maintenance, and make recommendations to ensure efficient management of Campus real estate and facilities. including experience in setting up and managing workshops and laboratories equipped with specialized technical equipment.
2. Pre-opening experience: Specify experience in setting up new campuses or facilities, including overseeing construction, procurement, and initial staffing.
3. Team building and culture: Highlight the ability to build a new team from scratch, foster a collaborative work environment, and establish a strong organizational culture aligned with CAVT's values.
4. Stakeholder engagement: Emphasize the ability to engage with various stakeholders involved in the new campus launch, including government agencies, local communities, and industry partners.
5. Lead the Campus strategic planning process ensuring that staff, learners, stakeholders and the Board have suitable input and ensure that the Campus vision considers appropriate labor market intelligence in its planning processes.
6. Assess and manage risks associated with the use of buildings and grounds.
7. Lead all construction and renovation projects, from feasibility studies to completion of project and establish the required monitoring mechanisms to ensure success of projects and compliance with timelines and approved budget in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
8. Plan and manage the Campus’s residence services to maximize benefits and provide a positive experience.
9. Establish a furniture and equipment replacement plan that takes into account the requirements and continuous improvement of facilities.
10. Keep update of municipal, provincial and regulations and legislation, standards and regulations governing Campus areas of operation and ensure compliance.
11. Develop and plan and recommend the annual operating budget and the five-year capital spending budget, taking into account Campus’s priorities and budgetary constraints.
12. Maintain effective internal controls to ensure that transactions are processed in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures.
13. Review and approve processing of all expenditures, revenue receipts, bank reconciliations, miscellaneous billings, collections, payments and related processing and follow up the creation and implementation of accounting systems, procedures, methods and forms; and makes appropriate transfers, and sets up receivables at year end·
14. Coordinate management of accounting and financing duties related to Campus funds and ensure legal compliance and coordinate with independent auditors review of
15. Engage in the Hiring process, supervision and evaluation of staff under the position’s responsibility and develop and implement a departmental goals and policies, staffing levels, and administers policies and procedures in accordance with the adopted regulations.
16. Work collaboratively with the other units to develop policies and procedures for the Campus.
17. Lead external engagement activities that include outreach and community engagement; sharing research findings; engaging with alumni; linking with partner institutions and external stakeholders. In addition to maintaining strong relationships with local industries to facilitate trainees’ internship, apprenticeship, and job placement.
18. Ensure robust and responsive ICT, data information and management systems are in place which comply with the reporting requirements and monitor the delivery of strategic financial and operational plans.
19. Develop strong and effective working relationships with all those contacted in the course of the work and ensure that all incidents relating to the proper governance and operation of the Campus are properly handled and brought to the management’s attention.
20. Perform any other position related tasks as assigned by the Management.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field (Master’s degree is a plus).
· Preferably 8 years of professional experience in managing big facilities. Previous supervisory and community college experience is preferred including planning, organizing, and managing the effective operations of a community college business office. In addition to scheduling, supervising, assigning and reviewing work; training, guiding, appraising and counseling employees.
· TVET experience: experience in the TVET sector, including familiarity with relevant curricula, pedagogy, and industry partnerships.
· Knowledge and familiarity with TVET equipment.
· Knowledge and experience in property and infrastructure management, risk management and industry standards.
· Management and leadership skills.
· excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Experience in performing financial and other analyses, interpreting data and preparing reports and recommendations.
· Language proficiency: fluent (spoken and written) in both Arabic and English.
· Ability to work productively in a fast-paced multitasking environment

· Ability to organize work, manage priorities and meet deadlines
· Knowledge of the university residence and/or hotel sector is an asset.

The College of Advanced Vocational Training in Jordan (CAVT) was established in 2022 by the Crown Prince Foundation, to promote the Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector in Jordan (TVET) through offering high-quality accredited and affordable, future oriented and technology enabled TVET programs across a diverse range of technical and vocational fields and aligned with global trends, to ensure highly skilled workforce capable of adapting to the evolving demands of the labor market. CAVT has been endorsed as a national initiative for TVET reform towards being the “Lighthouse of TVET Reform.” CAVT partnered with the Vocational Training Cooperation to manage, organize and develop seven vocational training centers (the “satellite”) across Jordan (Hakama, Irbid – Female, Yajouz, Sahab, Ein Al Basha, Ghor Al Safi and Aqaba). In addition, CAVT is currently constructing—and providing the modern equipment for—its own campus at the new Wadi Al Seer location, with an aim for it to become a regional hub.
