The Project Director is responsible for the end-to-end
delivery of a high-end, next-generation private hospital project, from design
through to completion. This role ensures technical excellence, financial
performance, and operational efficiency while meeting international healthcare
standards and achieving high client satisfaction.
The position involves managing a complex, large-scale
project with significant architectural and technical value, coordinating with
international stakeholders, and delivering within strict timelines, budget, and
quality requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the full project lifecycle, including design, engineering, construction, and handover
- Define and implement the overall project execution strategy, governance, and reporting structure
- Supervise technical studies (architectural, structural, MEP, and medical systems) and ensure compliance with international hospital standards
- Manage the integration of specialized medical equipment and systems
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client and manage all contractual relationships (client, subcontractors, suppliers)
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and operational risks
- Develop and control the overall project budget, ensuring cost optimization and profitability
- Monitor project progress, validate work completion, and oversee invoicing processes
- Establish and manage the master schedule, ensuring timely project delivery and implementing corrective actions when needed
- Build, lead, and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including project managers, engineers, and site teams
- Identify and secure key project resources critical to project success
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture within the team
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, HSE regulations, and both local and international requirements
- Implement robust quality control processes
- Manage and coordinate all stakeholders, including international clients, consultants, local authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex projects, preferably high-end healthcare or hospital projects
- Strong experience working with international clients or multinational organizations
- Demonstrated experience managing projects with budgets of tens of millions (or more)
- Solid expertise in complex project delivery models (EPC/EPCM)
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, and medical gases
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and manage high-performing, multicultural teams
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities in high-pressure environments
- In-depth understanding of international contracts and strong negotiation skills
- High financial acumen with experience in budget control and cost management
- Fluent in French and English (mandatory); additional languages are a plus
