THIS IS YOUR ROLE Key Responsibilities : The Test Engineer participates in analysing, developing, implementing processes, technologies, and systems for the testing of Protection & Automation Relays. Work with hardware and software design to perform fault detection tests of manufactured products making a strong quality gate. Provide safety approved test setups to ensure to meet the EHS policy standards. Providing on shopfloor support to production for achieving the targets with predictive measures to avoid downtimes due to testing. Create/Design project test plans to qualify the contents of project requirements and functional specifications. Focus is on automated testing. Proactively setup a test strategy and process. Design test cases listed in the project test plan. Improve test specifications by analysing the root causes of technical issues and develop testing solutions for those root causes. Create and apply new approaches as necessary to improve the productivity and efficiency of testing. Work with minimal supervision on complex projects with latitude for independent judgment. Evaluate the functional and non-functional requirements for testability and use suitable cases for automation. Design, build and execute automated tests to validate Manufactured products. Maintain automated scripts utilizing the existing framework, adhering to coding standards Participate in troubleshooting and drive root cause analysis and resolution. Work closely with suppliers and other CFTs to analyse the end-to-end scenarios, gather requirements and to implement it. Efficiently meet the timeline of assigned project with quality output. Performing code review and creation / support for relevant documentation. Collaborating with globally located teams. Performing regular technical coordination / review with stake holders and ensuring timely reporting and escalations if any. On time production supports in shifts when requested by production. and late evening supports to meet timelines of projects or machine down. Prerequisites: B.E. / B. Tech (Electronics & Communication/Electrical). An engineering graduate with 2+ years of experience in Test Automation of Protection relays. Skills and Knowledge: We seek a candidate having a knowledge of Test process (ATE- Automatic Test Equipment and Manual) and experience of handling different test equipment - Device and PCBA level Knowledge of Measurement equipment’s like Multi meter, Different Power source e.g. Omicron, ERFI, Chroma, Sorensen, Doble Communication Protocol awareness - RS485, GPIB-IEEE-488, Safety standards awareness and ability to read the test proposals to develop new fixtures. You possess an ability to develop fixture design/ concept for new products and knowledge of electrical circuit diagram, control logic, solving problems Knowledge of software languages C++, C#, VB.NET, Python and hands-on Microsoft Visual Studio. Knowledge & interest in Machine learning, Data science & AI. Ability to prepare Test procedures and work instruction for test equipment’s and awareness & implementation of safety precaution during fixture design. We want you to interact with Vendor for new fixtures and new concept development, Fulfill QMS, OHSAS standards requirements and prepare the CA / PA and detailed analysis for frequent breakdowns.
